The older I get the more comfortable I am of the unknown. I know there is more to learn, do, and see on this planet that I could fit in a thousand lifetimes, but I would like to experience as much of it as possible. I love to learn and experience new things whenever possible. I don’t mind jumping into a car on a whim and driving 4 hours to experience something new. Or decide to go on a road trip for the weekend on a Friday after work, etc.
What are some of the things that bring joy to my life? Things like my family, my faith, the act of charity, gaining knowledge, playing sports and various types of entertainment.
I’ve finally reached a level of confidence that I’ve never had in my life and it’s simply due to the fact that I’m finally comfortable in my own skin. I know I’m not perfect and I have many faults (as we do all) and I’m okay with that. I don’t get stressed out easily in tense situations, because I’ve faced many challenges in my life. The fact that, in our culture, we value the opinions of people older than ourselves has finally started to make sense to me, because the older I’ve gotten and the more experiences, trials, and tribulations I’ve experienced, the more comfortable I am with myself and my ability to deal with those type of situations.
All of these things shape me into the person that I am today. I’ve reached a level in life where I know that having a family (wife and kids) is important to me and would like to find someone who has reached that level of realization with themselves as well. Ideally, I’m looking to meet someone local so we can get to know each other in person. I’ve found that it’s hard to truly know someone when the only way you can communicate is via computer or phone.
