I’m a girlie girl with fashion flair who loves music, sports, theatre, fine dining. You’ll always catch me in heels, unless I’m running around town or out playing tennis. My friends refer to my as the “normal” one in the group. That certainly does not mean plain by any means; more like drama and baggage free and extremely easy going. I believe you give what you get. Sick friends get house calls and I always been there to lend my ear. I consider myself to be very lucky in that I have a great family; I’m well educated and have a job that I love.
You too, are afghan, young and successful. We both choose to greet difficult situations with a shrug of the shoulders, roll of the eyes or knowing laughter rather than stressful yelling at people. A hint of sarcasm is always great. A nice guy is even better. Let's make our parents happy and try finding someone afghan to marry :))

I always figured that what makes us Afghans is 1. being muslim and you didn't mention that you muslim 2. that you value your culture and you didn't mention that at all 3. that you value both pashto and farsi and you didn't mention that...so if you don't mention those things, why not just find a great hispanic or whit dude in New Mexico instead of come online looking for "afghan". Parents maybe happy with an Afghan and I certainly would be happy to find an Afghan but to me Afghan starts with the 3 things I mentioned. Otherwise I have athiest, black, white, etc. friends that have all the things you mentioned, kind, loving, baggage free, nice families etc. One day I will figure why people are on meetafghans.com.
